Using the latest in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, both two and three-dimensional parts can quickly and easily be designed, tooled-up and ready for production. Combining CAD with a Computer Aided Manufacturing System (CAM), precision tolerances in tool design and production parts can be maintained.
Replex Plastics is now capable of advanced part and tool analysis. Beginning with a part or assembly model in SolidWorks ®, the structural, thermal and optical performance can be evaluated. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks® Simulation Professional can quickly and accurately identify thermal or structural problem areas in a part and suggest solutions. The optical performance of a part can be assessed using TracePro® ray tracing software, which simulates the path of light as it interacts with materials and surfaces. TracePro® is also capable of simulating solar radiation for solar or daylighting applications.
